About Us

Firestop Company was started in 1978 in Tigard, Oregon by Bruce Pearson who worked for 30 years with consistent dedication to reliability and quality.  Alec and Wendy Baker later bought the business in 2008 and have continued to uphold Firestop Company’s values and traditions. Alec started in the trade while he was in High School and has been working full time in the trade since 1990.  He has used his knowledge of the trade to grow Firestop Company to become a leader in the fire protection industry. 

Firestop Company purchased Browning Fire Protection in 2015 from Dennis Browning in Medford, Oregon, and moved the administration office to Medford soon after that acquisition.  Firestop Company maintains a commitment to helping customers, suppliers throughout the Northwest as well as multiple Western states where licenses are held.  We would love to discuss how we might add value to your project.
